October 24th evening camp

Thank you friends for co creating this beautiful creative time together with me. I'm grateful that each of you continue to show up for yourselves and the group. It was wonderful having you back in the studio Leska and into my “new” studio Ellen. Tracy, it’s always magical to be in the studio with you. :)

I hope you enjoyed making fabric vessels. The goopy hands, the excitement of the unknown, the second guessing, the laissez faire, the conversation, it all meshed together to create a beautifully imperfect creative time together. I love these times so much!! How have your vessels turned out? Are they dry? Did you pop the balloon? My balloon (like Leska’s) shrunk down before I popped it so the fabric kind of bunched up all over. The “balloon popping” video was hilariously anticlimactic! I’m not sure why balloons sometimes do not hold their air, but they don’t. I hope you all send us photos and videos if you can of your balloon popping and your final piece.

Here is the yarn one I made in the morning camp. The colors of the yarns really dulled, even when it dried. I don’t love it. I’m also not sure what to do about all the glue that is dried in sheets all over and between the yarn. I’m using this one one for experience rather than a display piece.

Here are some photos from our time together.
